Do you ever get really good at DOING YOU and feeling good and sticking to your routine, and then you manifest all this good stuff and you get attached to it and get in your own way and make another emotional mess to manifest your way out of? US TOO. It’s the circle of life I suppose! You want something, and you feel bad because you don’t have it. Then you decide to feel good anyway, and then that thing you wanted comes. It’s a simple formula but easy to forget when we’re swept up in the illusion of physical reality. This week we have some tools to help you stay grounded, confident and powerful when you want to say the right thing, have a good time, and get exactly what you want.

1. Stand by it!
In Krista Suh’s new book DIY Rules for a WTF World, she discusses the second-guessing and overthinking that comes with sending text messages. Do you cringe when you see the last message you sent? What if instead you decided to stand by what you said no matter what? Krista suggests thinking to yourself after every text you send, "I stand by it!" Stop over-analyzing what you say and just DECIDE that you said the perfect thing. This blog post? I stand by it!
Often Kelly and I will pre-pave our commitments and activities to prepare for the best-case scenario. When we take the time to picture something going the way we WANT it to go, it’s much more likely to go in that direction. A minute of imagining the best that can happen during an event sets you up to expect that to happen. And you get what you expect! Now, name your upcoming event. What’s the best that could happen before? What’s the best that could happen during? How do you want to feel after?
3. Decide to not care if you ever get that thing you want.
About once every month or two, Kelly and I like to procure a certain herbal remedy. Sometimes this remedy is hard to come by, and we have to go through multiple people and weeks of coordinating. But we have never totally run out, and it always comes in spades.
After years of practice manifesting this particular substance, we’ve noticed the surefire way to attract more into our lives: we decide to not care if we ever get it again. It’s almost like I have to actively NOT want it, to get more. When I notice we’re low, I say to myself, “I don’t care if we ever get more again!” And I truly believe that and feel that feeling. Then I stop thinking about getting more, permanently. Within a couple days, the stuff always manifests. I’ve never gone without. It’s the non-attachment that makes me a magnet for my desires.
What is one thing you REALLY want? Now complete the sentence and really feel what it feels like to say, "I don’t care if I ever ____________ again!" Now you’re magnetized to receive your desire—never think of it again!
4. Start a meditation streak.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We should all meditate more, we know. But here’s another reminder of how helpful it is. Even if you don’t notice the benefits of meditating after one, two, or ten sessions, keep going. One thing that really helps me meditate every day is the Stop Breathe and Think app. It keeps a record of how many days in a row I’ve sat down to meditate, and after I get a streak going, I don’t want to stop.
