Physical

1. If you don’t like it, don’t look at it.
When you notice something you don’t like, it can be easy to get fixated on it. “How do I remedy this? How can I make this go away?” Your mind races, looking for ways to put an end to the problem. But attention creates. The more you notice it, the more you see it. The best thing you can do when you notice something you don’t like, is to put your attention on something else. It doesn’t make you irresponsible to place your focus elsewhere. Put your attention on something you like, and grow more of that. Before you know it, what you don’t like disappears from your experience. It’s up to you!

What is it you don’t like seeing? What can you look at instead?

Mental

2. No bad days.
Recently Kelly and I had a really good fucking day. We shipped out the most orders ever. We had a blast exploring our city. The money was flowing, the projects were getting done, the adventures were happening.

The next day was low energy. My file corrupted. My emails were piling up. I had no energy to deal with my student loan paperwork. I didn’t want to do anything. All I wanted was to go back to the high energy, productive day I had the day before.

Kelly and I consoled ourselves by remembering that it’s a breath in and a breath out. We can’t have high energy days every day, or we wouldn’t appreciate them. The good days create bad days and bad days create good days. Without the contrast, we wouldn’t feel the thrill of a great day.

When you don’t want to do anything, let yourself relax. That relaxation is creating a super-productive day in your future. The better you can NOT do, the better you’ll be able to DO when the time comes. You need both the in and out to breathe. It’s not a bad day, it’s a breath out. Enjoy the flow.

I can’t have _______________ without _______________.

Emotional

3. If it feels too exciting, you’re not ready.
Have you ever been super excited about something you have planned, and then the plan gets canceled? This used to happen to me all the time as a child. I would make plans to have a sleepover with a friend, and I’d get SO excited about it (my parents had me on a tight leash so getting to see friends was very special). When Friday came around, my friend would end up sick and needing to cancel. I was so excited I pushed it away!

I find this happening in my adult life too. Recently, a Very Important Person hit me up on Instagram, asking if I wanted to talk on the phone about my meditation videos. I was so excited that I kept messing up the energy! It took days for me to “get ready” enough for the phone call to actually happen. It felt so much like junior high when I was desperately excited for my social events.

If something feels TOO exciting that it’s all you can think about, there’s a chance you’re not ready and you’re pushing it away. This can get in the way of the manifestation process. What’s something that could happen that would be SO EXCITING? Maybe winning the lottery? Meeting the perfect partner? Taking a certain drug? Traveling to a certain place? If it feels unduly exciting, it’s a clue helping you get ready.

To start preparing for the OVER THE TOP event you desire, imagine less monumental experiences that could happen. If you want to win the lottery, picture the feeling of finding $20 on the ground. If you want to meet a new lover, imagine what it would feel like to find a new friend you really vibe with. If you’re fiending for that ayahuasca trip, picture being offered a microdose of acid by a trusted friend. Want to travel to distant lands? Visualize getting to take the train to the nearest city. All of these “lesser” manifestations can help you start getting into the vibration of what you really want. As soon as you start looking for the emotions you want to feel, you’ll notice them more and more. Eventually, your major manifestation will feel like, “But of course this would happen, I was READY!”

What’s something you would be over the moon about? What’s a related, smaller manifestation that you already feel totally ready for?

Spiritual

4. Trust your intuition.
I get really caught up in my to do list. I try to cross off as many items as I can every day, as many of us do. But sometimes I can’t bring myself to do a single thing on my list. Part of me feels like a failure. Why can’t I just robotically get shit done??

The other day we had plenty of work to do, but all we wanted was to go to this pizza place we’ve been obsessed with. It sounded so fun to take a long walk, get some dinner and enjoy life. So instead of attacking the to do list when we didn’t want to, we followed our intuition.

We ended up having a perfect dinner, but the magick was afterwards when we checked out a nearby boutique. We met the owner and had a fun conversation and came across this copal burner we’d been needing. We don’t know many people in this city, and getting to talk to another human was desperately needed. The fun feeling pulling us to get pizza was more than just a goat cheese craving. It was the flow pulling us to what we truly wanted–human connection and new ideas.

When you feel a pull towards something that feels less than productive, go for it! Even though it might seem like you’re just gratifying a basic urge, that feeling is pulling you to greater manifestations. When something sounds fun, GO FO IT! Fuck your to do list! That feeling is leading you to what you really want and need, and there is no way your to do list can do that for you.

What feels like the most fun thing you could do right now, even if it’s not on your to do list?
